Reishi Mushroom Extract

Mushroom extract works as a natural astringent. Ganoderma lucidum  known as Reishi mushroom is a species of mushroom that's long been a staple of traditional Chinese medicine, when applied to skin, research has shown a compound it contains (ganodermanondiol) can interrupt the enzyme tyrosinase, which in turn can brighten the skin.
Reishi mushrooms are rich in antioxidants, including ergothioneine and selenium, which help to combat free radicals and protect against environmental damage and premature aging. Mushrooms possess anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated skin and reduce redness, making them beneficial for sensitive or inflamed skin conditions like eczema, rosacea, and acne. Contain polysaccharides that improve moisture retention, strengthen the skin barrier, and prevent dryness, leading to a more hydrated and plump complexion. It contains natural skin-lightening agent that helps to reduce the appearance of dark spots and hyperpigmentation by inhibiting melanin production.
Ganoderma extracts, such as Ganoderma polysaccharides, have been used in promoting skin wound healing, mitigating postburn infection, and preventing skin flap ischemia-reperfusion injury. Ganoderma extracts have also been used in skin care, because of their roles in skin photoaging and skin whitening.
