Peony Root Extract Known in Traditional Chinese medicine as the “king of flowers” is a natural antioxidant often found within skincare formulas known to help boost skin clarity, Paeonia lactiflora extract can brighten the skin, moisturize, and enhance the skin. Paeoniflorin also has antibacterial and anti-fungal properties.

When used as an active, Paeoniflorin is known to powerfully enhance the skin’s complexion, rendering it visibly brighter and much more youthful-looking. This makes it an excellent ingredient in products intended to revitalize skin that is dull, dry, or mature while reducing the look of scars or spots.
