Sodium methyl cocoyl taurate is a gentle cleanser and foaming agent used in personal care products due to its mild and moisturizing properties.

It works as a cleanser and blends the oil and water well to clean impurities however, it does not strip the natural pH of your skin giving it a nice and soft after-feel. Since it is a non-irritant, it can be used for sensitive skin, even for people with a skin condition called rosacea

It provides a high foaming and mild surfactant activity and is mild to the scalp making it a preferred choice in medicated and anti-dandruff shampoos.
It is usually found in sulphate-free formulations and can also be used for sensitive skin and baby care products.
