Amodimethicone is an amine functional siloxane primarily used for conditioning and styling applications where excellent conditioning and softness are desirable. It is also known to improve wet and dry combing properties, reduce static and coat the hair shaft, smoothing damaged hair.

Also works as an anti-foaming agent, skin protectant, skin conditioning agent, It prevents water loss by forming a barrier on the skin as an emollient.
