Description

Zinc Ricinoleate is a highly effective deodorant base on the zinc salt of ricinoleic acid. Works in that it chemically traps and absorbs odor molecules formed during bacterial decomposition of perspiration, making it a key ingredient in most deodorant formulations. Does not inhibit transpiration and is therefore not an antipersipirant. It does not interfere with the natural flora of the skin.
It can provide moisturizing, softening, and protecting functions for the skin and is often considered as an effective skin care ingredient.

It can be used to prepare foot creams with odor absorber benefits, deodorant sticks or emulsion type deodorants, Laundry Detergents: Add zinc ricinoleate in the detergent formulation to help eliminate odors from clothes.

Derived from castor oil, zinc ricinoleate offers a natural alternative to synthetic odor absorbers.

Oil soluble, add to the oil phase of formulations, heat up to 80°C (Melting Point 160F°/71°C)
