Description

Benzoyl peroxide for formulating  over-the-counter (OTC) anti acne products like gels, cleansers, and spot treatments, as it is an antiseptic, antibacterial agent. Commonly used on the skin to treat mild to moderate acne.  It effectively get rid of bacteria and dead skin cells that clog your pores.
Works  well for inflammatory acne, which is characterized by red bumps that contain pus — pustules, papules, cysts, and nodules.

Benzoyl peroxide is not compatible with a lot of actives as it can facilitate and increase oxidation.

Usage Rate: 2.5-10%
Solubility: Soluble in organic solvents like dimethyl isosorbide, propylene glycol, ethoxydiglycol, propanediol
Active: 75%
