Usage rate: 0.1-5
Add to cool down phase at 500C to enable it dissolve properly.

Formulating Tip: Our green tea extract is highly concentrated and rich in electrolytes a little goes a long way. And a little bit tricky to work with.
In emulsions: use at 0.1-0.5% and add a water-based thickener (xanthan gum, hydroxyethyl cellulose, carbomer) to help increase stability.
in toners or water-based serums use at 0.1-5%
Optimal pH Range: Keep final product pH between 4.0 and 5.5.

Add Chelating Agents to reduce cloudiness
Incorporate 5–10% Propanediol or Ethoxydiglycol to improve solubility, if it precipitates out and/or warm up to 40oC to completely dissolve it.

EGCG is a polyphenol (tannin), it readily binds to other molecules in the formula, that can cause it to precipitate or turn cloudy.
EGCG binds strongly to proteins, peptides, and collagen. If your formula contains hydrolyzed proteins, silk amino acids, or peptide complexes, EGCG will cross-link with them and precipitate out as haze. As pH rises toward alkaline levels, EGCG auto-oxidizes rapidly.
