Description
Hexylresorcinol is an alkylresorcinol (AR), a type of phenolic lipid, that can be found naturally in whole grain wheat and rye.
It is known to function as a skin-lightening agent, antioxidant and astringent agent. Studies show topical application of 4 hexylresorcinol may play a role in defending against signs of skin aging, has protective effects against oxidative DNA damage by increasing levels of glutathione and modulation of antioxidant enzymes (GPX, GR and GST).
