Sodium Lauroyl Methyl Isethionate is a sulphate-free anionic surfactant that is an extremely mild surfactant. It has excellent water solubility and can be used to prepare transparent products. It can provide durable, dense, rich, luxurious foam creamy foam and also has excellent calcium soap dispersion ability. The skin feels smooth, comfortable, and fresh after use. In addition, it also has good stability and biodegradability. It is widely used in facial cleansers, soap, shower gel, shampoo, hand washing, etc.
Sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate is the chemical name for the sodium salt of the methyl lauric acid ester of isethionic acid. Additionally, it is very well soluble in water, making it rinsable. It is an alternative to a more widely known surfactant, sodium cocoyl isethionate.
It is suitable for clear and opaque system.
The formulating pH should be in the range of 4.5-8.5. SLMI is recommended for use in cosmetics and personal care application
